Happy 4th Birthday, Dylan!

At 10:52 pm on February 5, 2009, an angel was born.

Flash forward.... He is now 4!!! I can't believe Dylan is 4!! It just hasn't sunk in yet I guess.

My sweet & sensitive little boy brings laughter and joy to our lives. I wished for a little boy before I got pregnant, and he is everything I dreamed about.

This year he requested a Jake & The Neverland Pirate theme. At school, on his actual birthday, he had a pirate cookie cake to celebrate with his classmates.
Next Saturday, he will have a birthday party with his friends at The Little Gym.
I just ordered his Jake cake and I'm very excited to pick it up. His big day was great. He opened gifts at night and blew out a '4' candle on a chocolate cake.

Happy Birthday to Dylan!!

Sibling Love

On any given Sunday, wearing their Buffalo Bills jerseys, you will find two amazing little people sharing in some sweet sibling moments.

This day happen to be one of my favorites.......

Oh, how I love my kids!

Christmas

Better late than never, right?! I've tried to sit down and blog about our Christmas but I find myself busy with other things. So now that over a month has past, I thought it was time.
As some of you know, this was our first Christmas away from home. Yes, my first Christmas in 30 years. It was bittersweet. We missed being in Buffalo with family, but it was also a chance for us to make new traditions and memories here in our home.
I took a bunch of pictures to capture all of our moments.
I'm also including a few pictures from our January visit from Zack's Mom and step Dad. They came to visit for a long weekend. So the kids had a second mini-Christmas.

(It took to long to add each individual picture, so I opted for collages instead. My hope is that you can click on them to make them larger.)

Henry Trio

Every month at school we learn about a new character trait. This month is determination. We spend a month discussing the trait, what it means, how to show this trait. There is also an animal and color each month that represent the trait. This month is a penguin with the color black.

Yesterday staff and kids wore black to represent the trait. So me and my two side kicks wore black.

Gotta love Mommy and me matching days!

Happy Birthday!

Today is my 31st birthday!

I'm finally to the point that I don't get asked for ID!!! It's only taken 10 years!
I guess when I'm 80 and look like I'm 60, I'll be happy. Ha!!

Today was a wonderful day. I woke up to two smiling faces, three if you count Zack.
We spent the morning playing. We went out for lunch together and then I went shopping durning nap time. Lots of people, lots of sales. I love to shop and enjoyed my time. Once home, we got the kids ready and ventured to Target. Gotta love Target!! Even Dylan loves Target!
After picking up a few things, we got take out from Olive Garden. Going to restaurants these days are challenging. Either one or both kids act up causing a very stressful dinner. It's easier to just get take out. I love Olive Garden, and received a few gift cards, so it was only appropriate to use one. After dinner, Dylan helped me blow out candles on my cake, 31 candles!
Phew, where has time gone? I feel like it was just yesterday that I was riding my purple bike with a banana seat! Ha! Just kidding! But really, I don't feel 31. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing?!?

My day was filled with fun, relaxation, laughter, and family. Just the right combination!

We didn't take many pictures today. Zack did capture Dylan & I with my cake. I could resist taking one of Emersyn with the cake. She loves chocolate and making a mess. So give her a piece of cake, and let the entertainment begin!

Happy Birthday to me! One more year under my belt... Check!
